Good Ol' Fashioned Upbringin'...

I actually love this song. I have a secret weakness for some country music, particularly older musicians like Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, George Strait, and such. None of this Kenny Chesney baloney. Freakin' fratboy of country music.

But this song really makes me think of being patriotic. One of my favorite pasttimes...
(and it's fun to sing along to also...)

"And he bowed his head to Jesus
And he stood for Uncle Sam
And he only loved one woman
(He) was always proud of what he had
He said his greatest contribution
Is the ones you leave behind
Raised on the ways and gentle kindness
Of a small town Southern man
(Raised on the ways and gentle kindness)
(Of a small town Southern man)"

That's what I'm talkin' about.

I LOVE this song!
I think it's kind of hilarious you like it for some reason.
But I fully support your decision.
Perhaps we should play it on repeat all the way to the Little Apple.
Okay, maybe that's overdoing it...
