Swings...

One of the best inventions ever is the swing. Particlarly the playground variety, but a porch swing is pretty cool as well.

I took my puppy Rebel to the park last week and unleashed him and let him run around in a field uninhibited. Nearby there was a small playground with a slide and two swings. So I sat down on a swing and began to daydream. I thought about how awesome swinging was, about how terrible I was at self-propelling when I was little.

And I thought about how swinging is the closest thing you can get to flying. If you close your eyes when you're on a swing going really high you can imagine your side by side with Superman or web-slinging with Spider-man. And it got me really hyped for the new Iron-Man movie that I saw this weekend.

Just do yourself a favor sometime and go swing on a swing in a park.

It'll make you feel incredible.
