A night in the Emergency Room...

So I was trying to watch "Three Kings".

Then my girlfriend starts crying. And screaming. And crying more. She was having her third migraine in 2 days.

Earlier in the evening my best friend's old lady had mentioned that she too has migraines. I was worried so I called her for some remedy suggestions for migraines. Unfortunately she's never had this degree of migraine before, so she can't help me. She did say she'd pray for my girl which was just as good as a cure.

So I forced my girl to get her shoes and coat and get in the car so I can take her to the ER.

I sat in the waiting room for over two hours watching "Destroyed in Seconds", some Discovery Channel show on the Sturgis Bike Festival, a PBS history of India (situationally ironic because I found out a friend was going to India over the summer earlier in the evening), a little bit of a "King of the Hill" episode and a little bit of a "Family Guy" episode.

There was a very rude nurse there who wouldn't escort me to Lynette's room. She just kept telling me it was at the end of the hallway. If I couldn't find it the first two times, then why would I be able to find it a third?

But I did.

Turns out it was just a bad migraine. No aneurysm, no need for a spinal tap, no tumor, nothing. Just a lot of drugs and off to dreamland.

But that nurse really rubbed me the wrong way. Brat.
