Hooray. I can't wait to see what the next four years turn out to be like. Can't wait.
Hopefully the pain in the ass NCLB will be repealed. One can only hope.
One thing I'm going to get tired of in the coming weeks, is people saying "President Elect" (just watch how often you count it in the text of the newspaper, on the news or in an internet article) Obama instead of just President Obama. I understand Bush was not elected President the first time, but awarded the post by a Supreme Court Decision, but it is stupid to hold on to that technicality. I mean if the country is gonna punish itself for past mistakes we should probably start saying the following phrases:
*"Formerly Mexican Territory That was Unjustly Taken from them in a Propoganda Driven
War" California (this would precede the names of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada
and Utah as well).
*"War being fought because the President and the Intelligence community lied to us" War in
Iraq
*"America felt guilty once it saw the consequences of its isolationist policy during WWII upon
rescuing Holocaust victims during German liberation" Vietnam War
If this is the only mistake the American public is going to acknowledge, I think it might as well forget it.
This is just a rant. I'm probably not making a lot of sense, but I don't want to make this entry any longer, I'm sure your eyes are nodding off already.
