The Klangs Have Arrived...

In an alternate reality Earth humans have been eradicated in a war eerily similar to the Vietnam War. So much time has passed that robots have forgotten about humans. In fact the robots, the Klangs, are living lives as if they were humans. All until a young Klang, on the eve of a war with a new alien invasion, finds out he is a robot and not a human at all. Now he finds himself in deep reflection about how much of his life has been a huge deception.

At least that's how I understand the idea behind the concept album "The Klangs" by KCK/KCMO artist Greg LaFollette.
